Beth came to Gabriel Homes in 1998 while pursuing her master's degree in social work. She came on as a weekend residential counselor in one of our group homes and always made sure there were plenty of fun activities to keep the residents engaged in the community. Upon her graduation she came on full-time and 25 years later she is still here. Beth has had numerous titles but at the core of her work is always her desire to see the residents grow and thrive in the community of their choice.
When Beth isn’t working, she has a lavender farm and at least 10 craft projects and five home projects going. We’re unsure of when Beth sleeps, but we know when she is, she’s probably still coming up with new ways to support our residents or a new project to start!
Beth says the residents of GHI have definitely made her a better person. She says she’s learned so much working for GHI and has become a significantly more patient and empathetic person as a result.
